Course Descriptions
This course provides students with an understanding of the theories, scope, and causes of physical and mental disorders. The different aspects of needs, problems, and adjustment of both groups of handicapped persons will be examined. Students will understand the methods of assessment, intervention, and prevention of mental and/or physical disability. The roles of the social worker and approaches in working with both clients and their families will also be examined.
