Course Descriptions

This course will introduce students to the study of different types and constellations of social security systems, as applied throughout all of Asia. The students will realise the strengths and weaknesses, and current predicaments of social security systems in Asia. Students will be able to provide improvements and alternative solutions for current social security problems (e.g. aging of society, impact of economic globalisation, new gender roles, and low birth rates) in different institutional settings.
