Course Descriptions

This course develops students’ understanding of social policy and the relationship between social policy, social welfare and social work in a changing world. It focuses on modern social policy analysis, taking into account the full scope of social policies available today, and shows how they interact with each other – providing both a strong theoretical and practical point of view in the study of social policy. The course will also discuss and analyse the history and development of the welfare state in international perspective.
