This course aims to: (1) help students understand the principles of teaching a second language; (2) help them learn about the history and application of various language teaching approaches, methods, techniques and strategies; (3) relate the learned knowledge and expertise to the language teaching situation in China; (4) explore the ways of applying these approaches and strategies to language classrooms.
