Course Descriptions

The aims and objectives of this course are: 1) To examine the development of non-fiction filmmaking by comparing current documentaries with those made earlier. 2) To illustrate how the art has responded to social, political, and economic realities and to changes in technology and systems of distribution. 3) To familiarise students with the whole process of making a documentary film. 4) To help students gain documentary production experience working individually and in groups.
